TCA Peels

Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) is an agent used for Chemical Peels of the face, hands, and chest. This agent is applied in different concentrations which depends on the site being treated. The procedure is done in the office. Mild sun damage and very fine wrinkles can be improved with TCA peels. Post- pregnancy hyper pigmentation can also be treated with a TCA peel. The degree on skin penetration and the effect of the peel depends on the concentration of TCA. The procedure is done in the office and may require mild sedation prior to starting. Recovery is similar to that for CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing, but quicker because the peel is more superficial that Laser.
