| Transverse Thigh-Buttock Lift
The transverse thigh-buttock lift is a procedure which
improves the skin laxity of the transverse thigh region and
corrects buttocks ptosis. It is usually combined with
liposuction of transverse thigh fat deposits. It is most frequently
indicated for patients with significant weight gain, and massive
weight loss which may occur as a result of diet and exercise and
/or gastric bypass or stapling procedures. It may be combined
with an abdominoplasty at the same time, constituting a total
body lift. Permanent stitches are used in the deep fat layer in
order to maintain thinner scars, and to prevent scar migration
and ledge effect. An overnight hospital
stay is indicated after this type of surgery. |
